What is publicity? One marketing textbook defines PR as the free placement of your message in the media. Another way to look at it is that publicity is giving someone a reason to talk about you. Publicity can help you get your story out there, helping others to become aware of you and your organization.
While we've all been taught not to brag, if you don’t blow your own horn, there will be no music. Today's media outlets do not have the time/resources to sniff out stories looking for the next big scoop.
